Some players may already belong on a specific team before Team Builder starts. Others may be left unassigned after a build if they could not be placed under the current setup.
Open Team Builder
- Open Team Building in the left navigation.
- Click Build Teams.
- Click Start Auto Team Builder.
Pre-assigned players
A pre-assigned player is already tied to a team before you start Team Builder. This often includes coach children, players you manually placed, or players that must stay with a certain team.
Team Builder will try to keep those players on their assigned teams while filling the rest of the roster.
Unassigned players
An unassigned player is not placed on a team after Team Builder finishes. This can happen when team sizes are too small, too many players are frozen, or required rules make it impossible to place every player.
How to fix unassigned players
- Increase the team size if rosters are too small.
- Add a team if the division needs more roster spots.
- Review frozen players and only freeze the ones that truly cannot move.
- Change strict rules to High Priority when they are preferences, not requirements.
Review the result
After Team Builder completes, open Team Builder History from the Build Teams page to see what was created and which players, if any, were left unassigned.
