Fixing Schedule Builder Space or Time Problems

Modified on Sun, 21 Jun at 1:19 AM

If Schedule Builder says the plan cannot be created, it usually means there is not enough usable time for the number of games you asked for. The fix is to make the setup match what your league can actually use.

Go back to the builder

  1. In the web app, open Schedule from the left navigation.
  2. Click Schedule Builder.
  3. If you are looking at a result page, click Back to builder.

Check the date range

Open Date Ranges. Make sure the first and last dates give each division enough weeks to play. If the season is short, Bravara has fewer places to put games.

Check the number of games

Open Frequency & Games. Confirm how many games each team should play and how often teams can play each week. If every team needs many games in a short season, you may need more fields, more weekdays, or fewer blackouts.

Check game times

Open Times & Durations. Make sure the earliest start, latest start, and game length are realistic. For example, a 90-minute game with only a two-hour evening window leaves very little room.

Check fields, courts, or gyms

Open Venues & Spaces. For each venue, open the space list and check:

  • The space is available on the right days.
  • The start and end times are correct.
  • The right divisions are allowed to use it.
  • The space is not marked as unavailable by mistake.

Check blackout dates

Open Blackout Dates. Remove dates that do not truly need to be blocked. Also check venue-specific blackout dates inside Venues & Spaces, especially if one field or gym looks unused.

Use backup choices when appropriate

Open Overflow. Turn on only the backup choices your league can live with, such as an extra weekday, a backup field, or a later start time. After you turn one on, continue to Review and click Create schedule plan again.

If it still will not fit

Try one change at a time. Add a week, add another field or court, reduce the number of games, or allow one more playable day. Then create the schedule plan again so you can see which change helped.
