End-of-Season Evaluations Workflow: Use past season ratings to build next season teams

Modified on Wed, 4 Mar at 3:01 PM

This workflow is for leagues that evaluate players at the end of a season and use those ratings to build teams for the next season.

Big idea

  • Ratings belong to the season they were collected in.
  • When you’re forming teams for the new season, Bravara can pull ratings from the previous season.

Example timeline (Fall ratings → Spring teams)

  1. Fall (end of season): coaches/evaluators enter ratings for players (usually for players on their team).
  2. Spring (pre-season team formation):
    • Create your Spring season/divisions.
    • Enable the division setting: Use past seasons’ ratings (this may be enabled automatically).
    • Bravara will show the Fall ratings while you build teams for Spring.
    • Build teams using Team Builder (auto) or Draft Manager (with coaches).

If this is your first season in Bravara (and you already have last season’s ratings)

  1. Create the previous season (e.g., “Fall 2025”).
  2. Import or enter the ratings into that previous season.
  3. Create the current season (e.g., “Spring 2026”).
  4. In the current season’s divisions, enable Use past seasons’ ratings.
  5. Build teams in the current season (Team Builder or Draft Manager).

Important: Do NOT import last season’s ratings into the current season

Do not import last season’s ratings into the current season’s divisions. You want to keep each season’s ratings separate so you can collect new ratings at the end of the current season.

End of the current season

At the end of Spring, you collect a new set of evaluations. Those ratings are then used for the next season (e.g., Fall).

Troubleshooting

  • If ratings aren’t showing up in the new season, verify:
    • Ratings were entered/imported into the previous season
    • The current season divisions have Use past seasons’ ratings enabled
