This article shows how to import coaches from the Teams page. This is useful when your registration export includes coach names, emails, roles, and team names.
Before you start
- Open the season and division you want to work in.
- Export your coach or volunteer list as a CSV.
- Include first name, last name, role, email, and team when those fields are available.
Import coaches
- Open Teams from the main navigation.
- Above the teams table, click Import Coaches.
- In the Import volunteers dialog, use the upload area labeled Drop file here or click to upload.
- Select your CSV file.
- Review the column matching step. Make sure coach names, email addresses, roles, divisions, and team names are connected to the right Bravara fields when those columns are in your file.
- Click Next.
- If Bravara shows possible guardian or person matches, review the matches and click Next.
- Review the import preview, then click Start importing.
- When the import finishes, click Close.
What Bravara can do with coach imports
- Bravara imports coaches as volunteers and uses Head Coach as the starting role when you launch the import from Teams.
- If your CSV includes a different role, connect that role column during column matching.
- If your CSV includes team names, Bravara can connect coaches to teams during the import.
- If your CSV does not include teams, you can add coaches to teams later from Teams or Volunteers.
Examples
- If your registration export lists one coach per team, import it from Teams so each coach can be connected to the team they coach.
- If your league collects assistant coaches later, import the updated CSV again. Bravara skips unchanged coach assignments and adds the new ones.
