Getting Started with a Bravara Coach Account

A Bravara coach account is a free team management app for a coach who runs one team. You get a roster, a schedule with RSVPs, team chat, drills players do at home, and coaching tools for your sport. You do not need a league to use it. This article covers how to set up your team and where everything is.

Create your coach account and team

1. Sign up on the web at secure.bravara.com or in the Bravara mobile app.
2. On the Welcome to Bravara screen, choose I coach a team and click Continue.
3. Name your team. Enter a Team name and pick your Sport. Age group and Team logo are optional. Choose the sport carefully. It cannot be changed after the team is created, and it decides which coaching tools you see.
4. How many players? Set the number of players. You can type names and jersey numbers now, paste a list of names, or leave the spots open and fill them in later. Click Add players.
5. Bring in the families. Copy the team link, show the QR code, or copy the ready-to-send message so parents and players can join. Click Go to my team.

In the mobile app, tap I'm starting something new, then My own team, and follow the same kind of steps.

What is in the coach menu

On the web, the menu is on the left side. On a phone, the main pages are tabs at the bottom and the rest are under More.

• Home: your next event, who has joined, RSVPs, and anything waiting on you, such as join requests.
• Team: players, join requests, coaches and staff, the invite link, and team settings.
• Schedule: games, practices, and other events, with RSVPs.
• Chat: team chat, announcements, and direct messages.
• Player development: Reps (drills and videos players do at home) for every sport, and Softball IQ for softball teams.
• Coach tools: Plays (the basketball play maker), Depth charts, and Wristbands. Which of these you see depends on your sport.

Web or mobile app?

You can coach from either one. A few things are only in one place:

• Depth charts and Wristbands are on the web only.
• Players and parents use the mobile app for Reps, Softball IQ practice, and team plays.
• Live game scoring and streaming are in the mobile app.

If you open a coach page in a phone browser, Bravara suggests the app first. Tap Continue on the web to stay in the browser.

Is the coach account free?

Yes. The team, roster, schedule, chat, Reps, Plays, Depth charts, and Wristbands are free. Softball IQ may ask for a subscription, which is purchased in the mobile app and covers your whole team.

Common questions

Can I add an assistant coach? Yes. Go to Team, open Coaches & staff, and click Add an assistant coach. Enter their email and click Send invite.

How do I change my team name, logo, or color? Go to Team, then Team settings.

I coach in a league that uses Bravara. Is this the same thing? No. A league account is run by league admins and has seasons, divisions, registration, evaluations, and drafts. A coach account is one team that you set up and run yourself. If you belong to both, click the team name at the top of the menu to switch between them.

How do I delete my account? Open your Profile from the account button at the bottom of the menu and choose Delete my account.
