Divisions in Bravara

Divisions in Bravara help organize players by age group, skill level, or other relevant categories. They simplify the management of player evaluations and team assignments.

How to Create Divisions

You have three primary options when importing players:

Option 1: Using a Division Column

When importing a CSV file with a Division column:

1. Upload your CSV file.
2. You’ll see two columns:
   • Divisions in your file (shows divisions from your CSV).
   • Divisions this season (Bravara divisions).
3. Bravara automatically maps divisions from your file to this season’s divisions.

• Example: If a player's division column says "Majors," Bravara assigns the player to the Majors division.

Option 2: Group by League Age

To group players by their league age instead of using your CSV's division column:

1. Ensure your CSV file has a column with each player’s birth date.
2. After uploading your file, you'll see the two columns mentioned above.
3. Click the cog icon next to Divisions this season.
4. Check the box labeled Group by League Age instead of Division.

Bravara calculates each player's age from their birth date and assigns them to age-specific divisions:

• 11-year-olds go into the "11U" division.
• 12-year-olds go into the "12U" division.

To revert back to using divisions from your file, simply uncheck the Group by League Age instead of Division box.

Option 3: No Division Column

If your CSV file doesn't include a division column:

1. Upload your CSV file.
2. Bravara will prompt you to create and name a division for all imported players.

• Example: Import one file for "Majors" division players and another file for "Minors" division players, assigning each group as you import.

Evaluating and Moving Players Between Divisions

After importing and evaluating your players, you can easily move them between divisions:

1. In the Players List, select the checkboxes next to the players you wish to move.
2. Click to assign these players to a new or existing division (e.g., Majors, Minors).

This flexibility allows you to initially evaluate players by age or division and later assign them to the divisions best suited for your league.
