User Roles and Permissions

Bravara uses role-based permissions to control what users can see and do. These permissions are intentionally strict to protect league data and prevent accidental destructive actions.

There are three user levels, with evaluators having two sub-levels.

1. Web User (Highest Permission)

Web users have full system access and should only be assigned to highly trusted individuals.

Capabilities:

  • Create, edit, and delete seasons

  • Create, edit, and delete divisions

  • Create, edit, and delete players

  • Perform all destructive actions

  • View all evaluation values

  • Full access to the web app

Notes:

  • Anyone with this role can permanently remove data

  • This role bypasses most safeguards

2. Admin (Mobile App)

Admins have broad control over league operations but are intentionally restricted from highly destructive actions.

Capabilities:

  • Start and manage the Draft Manager

  • Place players onto teams during the draft

  • Create and edit players

  • Edit existing players

  • Change division settings

Restrictions:

  • Cannot delete divisions

  • Cannot create or delete seasons

  • Cannot log in to the web app

Purpose:

  • Designed for league officials who need control without full system risk

3. Evaluator

Evaluators are focused strictly on player evaluation and draft visibility.

There are two evaluator roles:

Admin Evaluator

  • Treated as an evaluator

  • Has evaluator permissions plus evaluator-level administrative controls

  • Used when an evaluator needs elevated visibility or coordination power

Evaluator (Standard)

Capabilities:

  • Evaluate players

  • View players during the draft

  • Receive live alerts when players are placed on teams

Restrictions:

  • Cannot place players on teams

  • Cannot modify draft outcomes

  • Cannot create, edit, or delete players

Draft Behavior:

  • Evaluators acknowledge and accept that they do not control team placement

Summary

  • Web Users: Full access, including destructive actions and evaluation data

  • Admins: Strong operational control without destructive permissions

  • Evaluators: Evaluation-only access with draft visibility

These permission levels ensure Bravara remains powerful, safe, and predictable during critical league operations like evaluations and drafts.
