Configuring evaluation ID formats and league age

Bravara automatically assigns each player an evaluation ID when you start the evaluation process. By default, the ID includes the player's league age so you can quickly identify their age group at a glance.

How the league age appears in evaluation IDs

The default format looks like this: 1000-9 (sequential number, then league age).

For the age to appear, two things must be in place:

1. Player birthdates — Each player needs a birthdate saved in Bravara. Birthdates are used to calculate league age.
2. League age cutoff date — Your organization needs a cutoff date configured. If your sport and governing body are set (for example, Little League baseball or PONY baseball), Bravara uses the standard cutoff automatically. For sports or governing bodies without a built-in cutoff, you can set a custom cutoff date in your organization settings.

If a player does not have a birthdate on file, their evaluation ID will show just the number, with no age.

Changing the evaluation ID format

In the web app, go to Settings in the left navigation, then scroll to the Evaluation IDs section. Three formats are available:

Select your preferred option and click Save.

Setting or updating your league age cutoff date

During the initial setup wizard, Bravara asks for your sport and governing body and sets the cutoff date automatically when possible. To update this later:

1. In the web app, click your organization name or the edit icon in the top navigation bar to open the organization settings.
2. Find the League age cutoff field.
3. Enter the month, day, and any year offset your governing body uses.
4. Save your changes.

Resetting evaluation IDs after a format change

Changing the format only affects new players added going forward. To apply the new format to players who already have evaluation IDs, use the Reset Evaluation Numbers feature on the Players page. Note that this will overwrite any custom evaluation numbers you imported manually.
