Getting Started with Bravara Chat

Bravara Chat gives your organization one place for league messages, team conversations, direct messages, and files.

Open Chat

1. In the Bravara web app, use the left navigation.
2. Find the Communication section.
3. Click Chat.

On smaller screens, you may need to tap the menu icon first to show the navigation.

Choose a conversation

The left side of Chat shows channels and direct messages. Click a channel or person to open the conversation in the main panel.

A channel is a shared room for a group, such as announcements, a division, or a team. A direct message is a private conversation with one person or a small group.

Send a message

1. Open a channel or direct message.
2. Click the message box at the bottom.
3. Type your message.
4. Click the send button.

If you are not allowed to send in a channel, Bravara will show that in the message area.

Use replies

For a side conversation about one message, hover over the message and choose the reply option. Replies keep the main channel easier to read. The Threads item on the left side shows conversations where replies are active.

Find unread messages

Unread channels show a badge or dot in the Chat navigation. Click the channel to read the newest messages. Browser or app notifications depend on each person’s notification settings.

Search messages

Open the conversation, then click the magnifying-glass icon in the top-right area of the chat header. Search can find channels, people, and messages, depending on what you type.
