Inviting Members to Chat and Handling Join Requests

Modified on Sun, 21 Jun at 1:12 AM

People can be added to Chat in several ways. Some members already have Bravara accounts, while others need an invite email before they can sign in.

Invite everyone who needs a Bravara account

  1. Open Chat from the Communication section of the left navigation.
  2. At the top of the chat list, click the paper-plane icon. The tooltip says Invite everyone to Bravara.
  3. Read the Invite Everyone to Bravara window.
  4. Click Send New Invites if there are people who need an invite email.

Invite people in one channel

  1. Open Chat.
  2. Click the channel.
  3. Click the people icon in the top-right area of the channel header.
  4. In the members window, add people to the channel.
  5. If Bravara asks Send Invite Emails?, click Send Invites for people who do not have accounts yet.

If the channel start area shows without a Bravara account, click Invite them! to send invite emails to those people.

Invite all members of a channel

Open the channel, click the people icon in the channel header, then click Invite all if that button appears. The confirmation window is called Invite channel members to Bravara. Click Send New Invites when you are ready.

Join public channels

For a public channel, a person who can see the channel can click Join channel at the bottom of the channel to start participating.

Handle private-channel requests

For a private channel, a person may click Request to join. Channel admins will see a message at the top of the channel saying the person requested access. Click Allow to add them or Dismiss to decline the request.
